SharePoint Consulting Services help organizations move from features to strategy.

SharePoint Concierge Webinar: Automate Work, Improve Collaboration, and Gain Better Insight in SharePoint

On August 7, 2025, the dataBridge team hosted a SharePoint Concierge webinar focused on new and evolving SharePoint features designed to make everyday work easier, improve collaboration, and provide deeper insight into how content is used.

From task automation in lists to page collaboration and advanced analytics, this session highlighted small changes that can make a big difference when applied intentionally.

Below is a recap of the key topics—and why they matter.

Automate Everyday Tasks with Quick Steps in Lists and Libraries

Dylan introduced the new Quick Steps feature in SharePoint, which allows users to automate common actions directly within lists and document libraries.

During the session, Dylan demonstrated:

  • How to configure quick steps
  • What actions quick steps can perform
  • How they streamline repetitive tasks
  • Real-world scenarios where quick steps save time and reduce errors

Quick steps help teams work more efficiently without needing Power Automate or custom solutions—making automation more accessible to everyday users.

Collaborate on Pages with Inline Comments

Katie walked through the Inline Comments feature on SharePoint pages, showing how it supports collaboration during page creation and review.

She covered:

  • How inline comments work on modern pages
  • Using comments for co-authoring and feedback
  • Reducing email back-and-forth during page reviews
  • Best practices for keeping page discussions organized

Inline comments enable faster collaboration while keeping conversations tied directly to page content.

Secure and Standardize Links with Org Link Security Groups

Leon explained the importance of featured links on SharePoint landing pages and how to manage them securely using default permission groups.

Key points included:

This session reinforced that even small elements like links benefit from governance and consistency.

Gain Deeper Insight with Advanced Page Analytics

Leona closed the session with an overview of the latest enhancements to SharePoint page analytics, which provide more detailed insight into content performance.

New metrics discussed included:

  • Unique clicks
  • Page promotions
  • Reactions and engagement signals

Leona highlighted how different departments—communications, HR, and IT—can use these insights to improve content effectiveness. She also noted that accessing this expanded data requires an additional license.

Why This Webinar Matters

Across all topics, a consistent theme emerged:

Modern SharePoint success depends on thoughtful configuration, governance, and visibility—not just turning features on.

When features like automation, collaboration tools, links, and analytics are applied intentionally, SharePoint becomes easier to use, easier to manage, and more valuable to the organization.
